Project Objective

Drive the audience to Amazon to purchase the Philips Norelco 3000.

Target Audience

All men aged 16+.

Key Message

This razor will enable anyone, regardless of shaving skill level, to trim their beard to perfection.

The goal is to get anyone that sees the ad to imagine themselves with their ideal beard.

Key Consumer Benefit

Look your best self, with a perfectly trimmed beard.

Attitude

Optimistic and confident.

Call to Action

A “shop now” button that will guide users to the Philips Norelco 3000 Amazon page. The ad copy focuses on the benefit of the product, it will sell the audience on the idea of walking around with a perfect beard. The ad will then lead to the Amazon page where the prospect could find information on the features and price of the product, as well as social proof (the page has good reviews). Combined, the ad and Amazon listing will successfully drive purchases.

Distribution

Facebook and Instagram. In the future, we could apply the same idea to a script, create a video, and run this ad on Tiktok as well.

Versions

We will test three variations of the ad.

  • Version A: concise, focuses strictly on selling the idea of a perfect beard. It backs the vision by referencing the unique circular design to help drive the narrative that THIS razor specifically will help you shape your best beard.

  • Version B: this version throws all of the razor’s additional features at the wall to test if any will stick.

  • Version C: this version experiments with a different image. It plays on the perfect beard vision by showing a man with a nice beard using the razor. The red arrow pointing towards the razor in the photo may look familiar. Red arrows are a common tactic in advertisements because they’ve proven to grab attention effectively.

After running these ads for approximately 7 days, we will know which version of the copy and which image performed better. From there, we will continue the optimization process.
